Support for managed WAF 3.0 on pay-as-you-go standard GA instances

New feature

Pay-as-you-go standard Global Accelerator (GA) instances now support one-click integration with Web Application Firewall (WAF) 3.0. When enabled, managed WAF operates in sidecar mode within the acceleration region. It performs traffic detection and protection without participating in traffic forwarding. You can enable or disable WAF without modifying your network architecture. This provides a flexible way to enhance application security.

Traffic mirroring for Layer-7 HTTP(S) listeners on pay-as-you-go standard GA instances

New feature

Forwarding rules for Layer-7 HTTP(S) listeners on pay-as-you-go standard GA instances support traffic mirroring. This feature lets you replicate traffic to another backend service. GA automatically ignores responses from the mirrored backend, ensuring that processing of the original request is unaffected.

Custom HTTP headers in access logs for pay-as-you-go standard GA instances

New feature

Access logs for Layer-7 HTTP(S) listeners on pay-as-you-go standard GA instances support custom HTTP headers. You can specify which HTTP headers to log, and GA writes the matched values to the ga_headers field in the access log.

Pay-as-you-go standard GA instances support multiple endpoint groups for Layer 7 (HTTP/HTTPS) listeners

Update

Pay-as-you-go standard Global Accelerator (GA) instances now let you configure multiple default endpoint groups in different regions for a single HTTP or HTTPS listener. You can set traffic dialing values for the endpoint groups to control the percentage of traffic routed to each endpoint group.

This update also includes:

  • You can configure traffic dialing for virtual endpoint groups on HTTP and HTTPS listeners.

  • Custom forwarding rules now support multiple default or virtual endpoint groups. You can select only one endpoint group per region. You can also write request IDs to headers.

  • You can now specify a domain name for health checks.

Pay-as-you-go standard GA instances now integrate with Anti-DDoS Pro and Anti-DDoS Premium

New feature

Pay-as-you-go standard GA instances now integrate with Anti-DDoS Pro and Anti-DDoS Premium. This integration uses Alibaba Cloud's global scrubbing centers to provide terabit-scale DDoS mitigation for the secure CNAME (secure accelerated IP address) of a GA instance.

Anycast EIPs for pay-as-you-go standard instances

New feature

Pay-as-you-go Standard GA accelerated IP addresses now support Anycast EIP.

When you use an Anycast EIP as an acceleration IP address, GA provides a unified IP entry point across multiple global regions. You do not need to select an acceleration area or a region, and users from different regions can automatically connect to the nearest Alibaba Cloud acceleration network through an Anycast EIP or a CNAME.

Backend IP address protocol for pay-as-you-go standard Global Accelerator instances

New feature

You can now set the backend IP address protocol for pay-as-you-go standard Global Accelerator instances to IPv4-only, IPv6-only, or IPv4/IPv6 protocol affinity. You can choose the IP protocol for communication between GA and your backend services based on your deployment. This ensures full-path accelerated access across different network protocol environments.

Custom routing listener

New feature

GA generates a port mapping table based on the configured listener port range, the destination port range of the endpoint group, and the IP address information of the endpoints (vSwitches).
