Use tags to manage data migration tasks

After you create a data migration task, you can use tags to manage and search for the task. This topic describes how to use tags to manage data migration tasks in the data transmission system.

Limitations

  • You can add up to four tags for a data migration task.

  • The total number of tags for all migration tasks cannot exceed 100.

  • Tag names are unique in the data transmission system.

  • You can view and manage only the tags of the current account.

Go to the Manage Tags dialog box

  1. Log on to the ApsaraDB for OceanBase console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Data Transmission > Data Migration.

  3. Go to the Manage Tags dialog box.

    You can use one of the following methods to go to the Manage Tags dialog box:

    • Use the Edit Tag icon next to the task name.

      1. On the Data Migration page, find the target task.

      2. Move the pointer over the target task and click the Edit Tag icon that appears.

      3. In the Edit Tag dialog box, click the text box of the Tag Name field.

      4. In the drop-down list, select Manage Tags.

    • Use the Tag drop-down list on the Migration Tasks page.

      1. On the Data Migration page, click Tag in the upper-right corner.

      2. In the drop-down list, select Manage Tags.

Create a tag

  1. In the Manage Tags dialog box, click Create Tag.

  2. In the Create Tag dialog box, specify the tag name in the Tag Name field.

    Important

    The tag name must be 1 to 20 characters in length and cannot contain a space.

  3. Click OK.

Modify a tag

  1. In the Manage Tags dialog box, click Modify in the Actions column of the tag that you want to modify.

  2. In the Edit Tag dialog box, modify the tag name.

    Important

    The tag name must be 1 to 20 characters in length and cannot contain a space.

  3. Click OK.

    • If no task uses the tag, the modification immediately takes effect.

    • If the tag is used by one or more tasks, a dialog box automatically appears, showing the number of tasks that use the tag. After you confirm the modification, click OK.

Delete a tag

  1. In the Manage Tags dialog box, click Delete in the Actions column of the tag that you want to delete.

  2. Optional. If the tag is used by a task, confirm the information in the dialog box and click Delete.

    Note
    • This step can be ignored if no task uses the tag.

    • After the tag is deleted, it no longer appears in work items of the task. Proceed with caution.

Remove a tag

  1. On the Data Migration page, find the target task from which you want to remove a tag.

  2. Move the pointer over the target task and click the Edit Tag icon that appears.

  3. In the Edit Tag dialog box, click the cross icon next to the tag that you want to remove.

  4. Click OK in this dialog box.
