This topic describes how to stop and release a data migration project that is no longer required.
Stop a data migration project
After a data migration project is completed, the data transmission service still retains the project configurations, including configurations of the source, destination, migration objects, and alert monitoring. You can clear the project configurations and then reconfigure or release the project based on your business needs.
The data transmission service allows you to stop a data migration project in the Paused, Failed, or Completed state.
Log on to the ApsaraDB for OceanBase console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Data Transmission > Data Migration.
On the Data Migration page, click Stop for the target project.
To stop a data migration project in the Failed state, click the More icon in the Actions column of the project and select End.
In the dialog box that appears, click OK.
Release a data migration project
After a data migration project is released, the data transmission service clears the project configurations and automatically deletes the project. Proceed with caution.
The data transmission service allows you to release a data migration project in the Not Configured, Not Started, or Stopped state.
Log on to the ApsaraDB for OceanBase console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Data Transmission > Data Migration.
On the Data Migration page, click Release in the Actions column of the target project.
To release a data migration project in the Not Configured or Not Started state, click the More icon in the Actions column of the project and select Release.
In the dialog box that appears, confirm the information of the project to be released and enter release.
Click Release.
