Data Transmission Service:Manage a data integration task

Last Updated:Oct 30, 2024

This topic describes how to create and manage a data integration task.

Background information

  • Scenarios

The data integration feature of Data Transmission Service (DTS) allows you to schedule data migration tasks on a regular basis. This feature is typically used for periodic data migration in a large data warehouse system.

    Important

The data integration feature is available only in the previous version of the DTS console.

  • Supported source and destination databases

The source and destination databases supported for data integration are the same as those supported for data migration.

Procedure

You can perform the following steps to create and manage a data integration task.

Step

Description

  1. Prepare the network environment

Before you create a data integration task in the DTS console, make sure that DTS servers can access the source and destination databases. For more information, see Preparation overview.

  1. Create a data integration task

Create a data integration task in the DTS console. For more information, see Configure a data integration task between ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL instances.

  1. View the data migration progress

You can view the state of a scheduled data migration task in the DTS console by following the same steps that you perform to view the state of other data migration tasks. For more information, see Manage a data integration task.

  1. View scheduled tasks

You can view the details of data migration tasks that are scheduled by using the data integration feature. For more information, see View historical tasks.

  1. Stop the data integration task or change the scheduling policy

If you no longer want to schedule data migration tasks on a regular basis, stop the data integration task in the DTS console. You can also change the scheduling policy specified in the data integration task. For more information, see Modify the settings of a scheduling policy.
