Cloud Architect Design Tools (CADT) allows you to configure multiple security groups for an Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instance.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Cloud Architect Design Tool (CADT) console.

  2. In the navigation pane in the upper-left corner of the console, choose Create > Create Application. In the following example, create an ECS instance in the scenario of a single region and a single zone. Configure the parameters related to Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), vSwitch, and ECS. At this moment, you cannot select a security group for the ECS instance. Image 40

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, find the Security Group resource and drag it to the architecture. Set its name to sg1. Double-click the ECS to open the configuration dialog box. You can select sg1 for the security group parameter of the ECS. Image 41

  4. Repeat the preceding steps to add another security group, sg2. Then, select sg2 for the security group parameter of the ECS. This way, you add two security groups for the ECS instance. You can create multiple security groups for the ECS instance by repeating the preceding steps. Image 42
