You can purchase value-added services based on your business requirements. After you activate value-added services, you are charged based on your actual usage of the services. This topic describes the billable items and billing rules of value-added services.
Billable items
Smart Routing
You can use this service to route traffic across the most efficient network path to accelerate edge services from end to end.
Billing rule: the service is on a trial run and is free of charge between October 9, 2024 and December 1, 2024.
Edge Routine
Edge Security Acceleration (ESA) provides the Free and Paid plans for Edge Routine. You must manually activate Edge Routine and select a plan based on your business requirements. For more information, see Activate edge computing.
Edge Routine Free plan
By default, the Free plan is activated.
Billing rule: If the number of requests that you initiate does not exceed the limit, you are not charged fees.
Maximum number of requests: 100,000 per day.
Calculation specification: The maximum CPU calculation time consumed by each request is 5 milliseconds.
Price: free of charge.
Billing method: You are not charged fees.
Settlement cycle: daily.
If the number of free requests is exhausted within a day, an HTTP status code 5XX is returned when you initiate a request to an edge routine.
Edge Routine Paid plan
If you require a larger number of requests and a longer CPU calculation time, you can upgrade your Edge Routine Free plan to Edge Routine Paid plan.
Billing rule: You are charged based on the calculation specification and the number of requests.

If you want to downgrade Edge Routine Paid plan to Edge Routine Free plan, the system checks the configurations in your Alibaba Cloud account. If configuration items that are exclusive to Edge Routine Paid plan exist in your Alibaba Cloud account, the downgrade fails.
Edge KV
After you activate Edge Routine, you can activate Edge KV based on your business requirements.
