You can configure a RAM user or RAM role as an alert contact on the Alarm Contact page in the DataWorks console. This way, if an alert rule is triggered by a task, DataWorks sends alert notifications in a related language, such as Chinese or English, to the configured alert contact. This can help the alert contact identify and handle the related issue at the earliest opportunity. You can also configure an alternate alert contact. If alert notifications cannot be sent to the alert contact that you configure, DataWorks automatically sends alert notifications to the alternate alert contact. This topic describes how to configure and view alert contacts.
Precautions
Configuration description
When you configure a mobile phone number for an alert contact, you must add a country code before the mobile phone number. For example, 86139******** is a mobile phone number in the Chinese mainland.
If the email addresses and mobile phone numbers that you configure for the alert contact and alternate alert contact are incorrect, DataWorks automatically sends alert notifications to the contact that is configured for your Alibaba Cloud account in the Product Overdue Payment, Suspension, and Imminent Release Notifications row on the Common Settings page in the Message Center console. In this case, the alert contact and alternate alert contact that you configure in DataWorks cannot receive alert notifications.
The alert language that you configure in Management Center is applied to Operation Center. When an alert rule is triggered, Operation Center sends an alert text message or email in this language.
Permission description
Only an Alibaba Cloud account, a RAM user that is attached the

Configure a RAM user as an alert contact
On the RAM sub-account tab of the Alarm Contact page, you can view the RAM users that are added to the current workspace by using the logon account, and the display names, mobile phone numbers, and email addresses of the RAM users. If no mobile phone number or email address is displayed in the Mobile phone number column or the Mailbox column of a RAM user, the RAM user is not configured as an alert contact.
You can use one of the following methods to configure RAM users as alert contacts.
Synchronize contact information configured for RAM users from the RAM console to DataWorks
If the contact information of RAM users that are added to the current workspace by using the logon account is configured in the RAM console, you can click Synchronous access control (RAM) contact information to use the contact information in the RAM console to overwrite the contact information of the RAM users on the Alarm Contact page in the DataWorks console. For information about how to view or modify the contact information of a RAM user, see Use a RAM user to log on to the DataWorks console and use DataWorks.
The contact information of multiple RAM users on the Alarm Contact page is overwritten at a time.
You must make sure that the contact information you configure for the RAM users in the RAM console is valid. If no contact information is configured for a RAM user or the configured contact information is invalid, the contact information of the RAM user on the Alarm Contact page cannot be overwritten.
If the contact information of all the RAM users added to the current workspace is synchronized from the RAM console, the Synchronous access control (RAM) contact information button is dimmed.
