Features
Quota Center provides the following features:
Quota query: View service quotas, availability of quota increases, and maximum allowable quotas.
Quota application: Submit an application to increase quotas and track the application status.
Quota alerts: Configure alert rules by using percentage or absolute values. After configuration, you can receive timely notifications about your quota usage. This way, you can adjust quotas based on your business requirements.
Benefits
All-in-one: You can manage all service quotas on a single and unified platform.
Transparent: You can view both the default quotas and the increased quotas.
Automated: You can configure quota alerts that are automatically triggered when the actual usage is about to reach the quota, and apply for higher quotas at the earliest opportunity.
Efficient: Quota applications in Quota Center are more streamlined than the ticket system.
Usage notes
The quota management feature is supported in the China (Beijing), China (Shanghai), China (Shenzhen), and Singapore regions.
If your business requires a quota higher than the value that is described in the Limits topic, you must submit an application. Alibaba Cloud reviews your application and increases the quota based on your business requirements. For more information, see Submit an application to increase a quota.
You can log on to the Quota Center console by using an Alibaba Cloud account or as a RAM user. If you log on as a RAM user, you must obtain the required permissions. For more information, see Authorize a RAM user.
The source stream quota indicates the maximum number of streams that can be concurrently ingested or pulled, and the transcoding stream quota indicates the maximum number of streams that can be concurrently transcoded. If you estimate that your business will exceed the quotas, submit an application and provide detailed information, including the use cases, estimates of future business requirements, and desired effective date, for the new quotas.
If the ratio of the inbound bandwidth for stream ingest to the outbound bandwidth for streaming exceeds 1:50, your account manager notifies you of the applicable charges. If you do not receive a notification, no fees are charged.
When you apply for a higher transcoding stream quota, make sure that you configured the transcoding templates in the ApsaraVideo Live console. You can also provide the transcoding details, such as resolution and quality, in the application.
If the quota that you request exceeds the upper limit that is displayed in the Quota Center console, contact your account manager or request Alibaba Cloud support.
