Lindorm:Enable Capacity storage

Last Updated:Dec 12, 2024

Lindorm uses storage of the Capacity type to store cold data that is infrequently accessed. This way, the storage cost of historical data is reduced. This topic describes how to enable Capacity storage for a Lindorm instance.

Usage notes

If a Lindorm instance uses local HDDs to store data, Capacity storage cannot be enabled for the instance.

Enable Capacity storage when you purchase a Lindorm instance

  1. Log on to the Lindorm console.

  2. In the upper-left corner of the page, select the region where the instance is deployed.

  3. Click Create.

  4. Enable Capacity storage and specify the storage capacity.

    1. On the purchase page of the instance, select Yes for Purchase Capacity Storage.

    2. Specify a value for Capacity Storage.

    Note

For more information about how to configure other parameters when you purchase a Lindorm instance, see Create an instance.

  5. Click Buy Now.

  6. On the Confirm Order page, read and agree to the terms of service.

Enable Capacity storage for an existing Lindorm instance

You can also enable Capacity storage for a Lindorm instance in the Lindorm console after the instance is created.

Warning

During the enabling process, the Lindorm instance repeatedly restarts. The latency of the request and write requests of your business may increase and the connections to the instance may be interrupted. Therefore, we recommend that you enable Capacity storage during off-peak hours. For more information, see FAQ about instance O&M.
