Lindorm uses storage of the Capacity type to store cold data that is infrequently accessed. This way, the storage cost of historical data is reduced. This topic describes how to enable Capacity storage for a Lindorm instance.
Usage notes
If a Lindorm instance uses local HDDs to store data, Capacity storage cannot be enabled for the instance.

Enable Capacity storage for an existing Lindorm instance
You can also enable Capacity storage for a Lindorm instance in the Lindorm console after the instance is created.
During the enabling process, the Lindorm instance repeatedly restarts. The latency of the request and write requests of your business may increase and the connections to the instance may be interrupted. Therefore, we recommend that you enable Capacity storage during off-peak hours. For more information, see FAQ about instance O&M.
