Cloud Firewall:Bill management

If you use Cloud Firewall that uses the pay-as-you-go billing method or enable the burstable protected traffic feature, you can view the traffic usage details.

View the details of traffic processed by the burstable protected traffic feature

If you use Cloud Firewall that uses the subscription billing method, Cloud Firewall allows you to use the burstable protected traffic feature and displays the details of traffic processed by the feature. The feature provides protection for the traffic bandwidth that exceeds the purchased traffic protection bandwidth, which is referred to as excess traffic. The billing cycle of the burstable protected traffic feature is one day. Data of Day T is displayed on the Bill Management page on Day T+1. Bills are generated and fees are deducted from your account balance on the next day.

Prerequisites

The burstable protected traffic feature is enabled, and excess traffic is generated. For more information, see Burstable protected traffic.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Cloud Firewall console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose System Settings > Bill Management.

  3. On the Bill Management page, view the statistics on the excess traffic, and the distribution of the excess traffic by boundary.

    • Processed Burstable Protected Traffic: the total amount of traffic that is processed by the burstable protected traffic feature since you enabled the feature. Unit: GB.

    • Burstable Traffic Processed in Previous Day: the amount of traffic that was processed by the burstable protected traffic feature in the previous day. Unit: GB.

    • Burstable Protected Traffic: the amount of traffic that is processed by the burstable protected traffic feature and exceeds the free quota. Unit: GB. For more information about the free quota, see Burstable protected traffic.

  4. On the Internet Firewall, NAT Firewall, and VPC Firewall tabs, view the billing information for a specific date.

    • To view the details of traffic from the Internet to your assets, click View Inbound Traffic Details of IP Address. On the Internet Exposure page, view the traffic details. For more information, see Internet Exposure.

    • To view the details of traffic from your assets to the Internet, click View Outbound Traffic Details of IP Address. On the Outbound Connection page, view the traffic details. For more information, see Outbound Connection.

    • To view the details of traffic between virtual private clouds (VPCs), click View Traffic of Top IP Address. On the Traffic Analysis > VPC Access page, view the traffic details. For more information, see VPC Access.

    • To view traffic logs, click View Logs. If you want to view traffic logs generated in the previous seven days, click the Traffic Logs tab of the Log Audit page. For more information, see Log audit.

      By default, Cloud Firewall stores the traffic logs of the previous seven days. You can also enable the log analysis feature to view traffic logs of more than seven days on the Log Analysis page. For more information, see Enable the log analysis feature.

View the details of traffic processed by Cloud Firewall that uses the pay-as-you-go billing method

The billing cycle of Cloud Firewall that uses the pay-as-you-go billing method is one day. Data of Day T is displayed on the Bill Management page on Day T+1. Bills are generated and fees are deducted from your account balance on the next day.

Prerequisites

Cloud Firewall that uses the pay-as-you-go billing method is activated, and traffic is generated. For more information, see Pay-as-you-go.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Cloud Firewall console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose System Settings > Bill Management.

  3. On the Bill Management page, view the information about assets that are protected by Cloud Firewall and the features that are enabled.

    • Total Protected Internet Traffic: the total amount of traffic that is protected by the Internet firewall.

    • Total Protected Public Assets: the total number of public assets that are protected by the Internet firewall.

    • Total Traffic Processed by NAT Firewalls: the total amount of traffic that is protected by NAT firewalls.

    • Total NAT Firewalls: the total number of assets that are protected by NAT firewalls.

    • Total Traffic Processed by VPC Firewalls: the total amount of traffic that is protected by VPC firewalls.

    • Total VPC Firewalls: the total number of assets that are protected by VPC firewalls.

  4. On the Internet Firewall, NAT Firewall, and VPC Firewall tabs, view the billing information for a specific date.

View the consumption amount and deduction details

  • If you purchased a pay-as-you-go savings plan, click View Offset Details to view the deduction and saving details.

    You can use Cloud Firewall pay-as-you-go savings plans together with Cloud Firewall that uses the pay-as-you-go billing method or the burstable protected traffic feature. This way, you can enjoy specific discounts and reduce costs. For more information, see Pay-as-you-go savings plan.

  • To view the details of the consumption amount, click View Bill Details.
