You can send Messenger messages to instantly connect with a user. This topic describes how to send a Messenger message.
Prerequisites
A Messenger message template is created. For more information, see Design a Messenger message template.
A user has sent a message to your Facebook Page.
NoteMessenger is mainly used for message interactions with end users. The interactions must be initiated by end users, but cannot be initiated by Messenger.
After a user opens a standard messaging window, you can respond with a message to the user within 24 hours. For more information about how to open a standard messaging window, see the Operations that open a standard messaging window section in this topic.
A standard messaging window is a 24-hour time period in which you are allowed to respond with a message to a user. When a user sends a message to your Facebook Page or starts a conversation by using a web plug-in, you have up to 24 hours to respond with a message.
Procedure
To send a message, perform the following steps:
Log on to the Chat App Message Service console. In the left-side navigation pane, click Channel management. On the page that appears, find the channel that you want to manage and click the channel ID.
On the Send message page, set the parameters based on the parameter descriptions in the following table.

Number group import: This method is suitable if you send the message to only a few user IDs. Select Number group import and click Add number to add user IDs to receive the message.
EXCEL Upload: This method is suitable if you send the message to a large number of user IDs. You can perform the following operations to upload user IDs by using an Excel file:
Click Download template and enter user IDs to receive the message based on the example in the template.
Click Upload file to upload the file that contains user IDs to receive the message.
NoteThe imported user IDs must have sent messages to your Facebook Page within 24 hours. Otherwise, the message fails to be sent.
If you do not select a message template, you cannot click Download template. After you select a message template, you can download the template.
If the message template contains variables, click EXCEL Upload to import user IDs to receive the message. The header of the file cannot be modified in case the system cannot recognize variable parameters.
Click Send.
NoteYou can view message sending details on the Message list page. For more information, see Message list.
