ApsaraDB for OceanBase provides database performance and host performance monitoring features for cluster instances. In the ApsaraDB for OceanBase console, you can view monitoring data and configure general metrics for the custom monitoring panel.
View monitoring data
Log on to the ApsaraDB for OceanBase console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Instances.
In the instance list, click the name of the target cluster instance to go to the Cluster Instance Workspace page.
In the left-side navigation pane of the Cluster Instance Workspace page, click Performance Monitoring.
On the Performance Monitoring page, you can view the database performance and host performance monitoring data and perform the following operations.
On the Database Performance, Host Performance, Obproxy Database Performance, and Obproxy Host Performance tabs, you can view monitoring data from different perspectives. For more information, see View database monitoring details, View host monitoring details, View database proxy monitoring details, and View proxy host monitoring details.
NoteProxy-related monitoring is available for only customers on the allowlist. To enable proxy-related monitoring, contact Alibaba Cloud Technical Support.
You can select specific tenants or nodes by setting the corresponding filter conditions. After you select a tenant, you can click the drill-down icon in the chart to view the monitoring details of the tenant.
In a monitoring chart, you can click the name of a tenant or a node to show or hide its monitoring data.
You can also create and view alert rules by clicking the corresponding buttons in the upper-right corner. For more information, see Add an alert rule and Manage alert rules.
You can click Add Custom Report in the upper-right corner and then select a tenant and configure metrics for the custom monitoring panel. For more information, see Customize a monitoring report for a cluster instance.
You can turn on the Time period comparison switch in the upper-right corner and specify a period to compare the monitoring data. The solid line represents the data during the baseline period, and the dotted line represents the data during the specified period.
You can turn on the Link Charts switch in the upper-right corner. This way, when you move the pointer on a monitoring chart, the corresponding data at the specific point in time of other charts is displayed.
You can turn on the Configure Monitoring switch in the upper-right corner to specify the monitoring data collection interval.
NoteThe default interval is 60s. You can set the interval to 5s. A fee will be charged for this feature. For more information, see Billing methods for monitoring.
