This topic describes the pricing and billing for the second-level monitoring feature, which supports a monitoring frequency in seconds, of ApsaraDB for OceanBase.
Billing description
By default, performance monitoring metrics are collected every 60s in ApsaraDB for OceanBase, and the per-minute average value of each metric is displayed. To achieve more precise monitoring, you can set the collection frequency to 5s, for which you will be charged.
In the current version, you cannot adjust the monitoring frequency for serverless instances or tenant instances.
The second-level monitoring feature is separately billed by hour based on the following formula: Unit price × Number of nodes × Duration (in hours)
.
The following table lists the regions where you can deploy the second-level monitoring feature and the pricing for these regions.
Region | Collection frequency | Unit price (USD/node/hour) |
Non-financial regions in China China (Hangzhou), China (Shanghai), China (Qingdao), China (Beijing), China (Zhangjiakou), and China (Shenzhen) | 5s | 0.0161 |
60s | Free | |
Financial regions in China Hangzhou, Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen | 5s | 0.0403 |
60s | Free |
Here is an example:
Assume that you purchased a multi-IDC instance with three nodes in the China (Hangzhou) region, and then enabled the second-level monitoring feature with a collection frequency of 5s at 08:00 on March 8, 2024. By 08:00 on March 10, 2024, the system had calculated the resource usage fees every hour on the hour.
The total fees for the two days are: 0.0161 × 3 × (24 × 2) = USD 2.3184
.
