Short Message Service:Create an SMS signature

If you plan to send messages to recipients in the Chinese mainland, you need to fulfill some additional requirements before you can begin sending messages. Specifically, you must first submit an SMS signature and message template for approval. This topic describes how to create an SMS signature.

Important

The Go China feature is currently not supported. SMS signatures and message templates in use are not affected.

Prerequisites

An enterprise account is created with Alibaba Cloud and has passed the account verification process. For more information, visit the registration page and Account Center.

Usage notes

  • You cannot cancel the review of a signature.

  • You can send messages only after your signature and message content are approved.

  • After a signature is created, it can be deleted and cannot be modified.

  • After a signature is deleted, it can no longer be used to send messages. Proceed with caution.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud SMS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Go China.

  3. On the Signatures tab, click Create Signature.

  4. Specify Signature, Source, and Note based on your needs.

    The following table describes the parameters.

    The content of the signature. For more information, see SMS signature.

    • Full Name or Abbreviation for Enterprise

    • Full Name or Abbreviation for App

      Enter the full name of the app. Upload the image that you want to use as the app icon.

    • Full Name or Abbreviation for Website

      Enter the website URL.

    Note

    Describe the use scenarios of your services. Provide the information of your services, such as a website URL, a domain name with an ICP filing, or an app download URL.

  5. Click OK.

    After you submit the signature, it is then reviewed. You can view the signature on the Signatures tab of the Go China page.
