This topic describes the refund rules, refund method, and refund destinations for unsubscribing from subscription instances or clusters in ApsaraDB for SelectDB.
After you unsubscribe from an ApsaraDB for SelectDB, all resources of the instance, including computing resources, cache size, and storage resources, are released, and data is deleted. Proceed with caution when you unsubscribe from an instance.
Usage notes
The refund policy applies only to subscription instances and clusters in ApsaraDB for SelectDB. You cannot apply for a refund for pay-as-you-go instances or clusters. You can directly release pay-as-you-go instances or delete clusters in the ApsaraDB for SelectDB console. For more information, see Delete an instance and Delete a cluster.
Refund rules
ApsaraDB for SelectDB allows you to apply for a refund for subscription instances or clusters. Before you unsubscribe from subscription instances or clusters in ApsaraDB for SelectDB, make sure that you understand the unsubscription rules, usage notes, and unsubscription cases.
Refund method
The following table describes the refund method that is supported by ApsaraDB for SelectDB instances and clusters based on the billing methods of instances.

Subscription | If you no longer need a subscription instance or cluster, or you want to scale in a subscription cluster, you can apply for a refund. The system calculates the refund amount based on the resource specifications of the subscription instance that you purchase. |
