If you no longer need a cluster, you can delete the cluster. This topic describes how to delete a cluster from an ApsaraDB for SelectDB instance.
Prerequisites
The SelectDB instance on which the cluster is deployed in the Running state.
The cluster created in the SelectDB instance is in the Running or Suspended state.
Usage notes
Before you delete a cluster, make sure that you specify a default cluster. For more information, see Specify a default cluster for a user.
A pay-as-you-go SelectDB instance must have at least one pay-as-you-go cluster. If only one pay-as-you-go cluster exists in the pay-as-you-go SelectDB instance, you cannot delete the pay-as-you-go cluster.
A subscription SelectDB instance must have at least one subscription cluster. If only one subscription cluster exists in the subscription SelectDB instance, you cannot delete the subscription cluster.
Billing
Billing method | Description |
Subscription | If you delete a subscription cluster from an instance, Alibaba Cloud returns the amount that corresponds to the number of remaining days before the instance expires to your account based on the original payment method. |
Pay-as-you-go | If you delete a pay-as-you-go cluster, the cluster is released and you are no longer charged for the cluster. |
