If a Resource Access Management (RAM) user has custom permissions but does not have the permissions to call the DescribeInstancesOverview operation, the number of instances displayed on the Overview page may be inaccurate. For information about how to grant a RAM user the permissions to call the DescribeInstancesOverview operation, see Modify the document and description of a custom policy.
