Managed Service for Prometheus:Create and manage contact groups

When you create a notification policy, you can specify a contact group that receives alert notifications. When a matching rule of the notification policy is triggered, the alert management feature of Managed Service for Prometheus sends alert notifications to contacts in the specified contact group by using methods such as phone calls, text messages, emails, and DingTalk chatbots.

Prerequisites

A contact, a DingTalk chatbot, a WeCom chatbot, or a Lark chatbot is created. For more information, see the following topics:

Create a contact group

  1. Log on to the Managed Service for Prometheus console. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Alert Management > Notification Objects.

  2. On the Contacts tab, click Create Contact Group in the upper-right corner.
  3. In the Create Contact Group dialog box, enter a contact group name in the Group Name field, select contacts in the Alert Contacts section, and then click OK.
    The created contact group is displayed in the All Contacts section on the left side of the Contacts tab.

Manage a contact group

  • To search for a contact group, perform the following operations: On the Contacts tab, enter a keyword in the search box on the left side of the Contacts tab and click the Search icon.
  • To modify a contact group, perform the following operations: On the Contacts tab, find the contact group that you want to modify in the All Contacts section on the left side of the Contacts tab, move the pointer over the rt icon on the right side of the contact group, and then click Edit Group. In the Edit Group dialog box, modify the information and click OK.
    Note You can modify a contact group by using only the account that created the contact group.
  • To view the information about a contact in a contact group, perform the following operations: On the Contacts tab, find the contact group to which the contact belongs in the All Contacts section on the left of the Contacts tab and click the ry icon to the left of the contact group name.
  • To delete a contact group, perform the following operations: On the Contacts tab, find the contact group that you want to delete in the All Contacts section on the left side of the Contacts tab, move the pointer over the rt icon on the right side of the contact group, and then click Delete Group. In the message that appears, click OK.
    Important
    • Before you delete a contact group, make sure that the contact group is not added to a notification policy. Otherwise, alert notifications may fail to be sent.
    • You can delete contact groups by using only the account that created the contact groups.
