The cross-region backup feature of PolarDB for MySQL which is based on Database Backup Service (DBS) is available for commercial use as of October 18, 2022 when the public preview is complete.
Impacts
- Data transmission and backup set storage of the cross-region backup feature of PolarDB for MySQL are billed on a pay-as-you-go basis as set forth in Billing rules.
- Your charges are recorded in DBS bills.
Note You can disable the cross-region backup feature if it is not needed and delete historical backup sets in a timely manner. For any questions, you can contact Alibaba Cloud technical support engineers.
Access to the feature
Log on to the PolarDB console. On the Overview page of the cluster, choose . On the Backup Policy Settings tab, click Edit. In the Backup Policy Settings dialog box, turn on the Level-2 Backup switch in the Level-2 Backup section. Select Same-Region Backup or Cross-region Backup in the Backup Method field.
Supported regions
The cross-region backup feature is available for commercial use in all supported regions. For more information, see Single-region backup and cross-region backup.
