You can use Lingjun hubs to connect different Lingjun Virtual Private Datacenters (VPDs) and connect Lingjun VPDs to Lingjun connections. This helps you establish a Lingjun network with ease. This topic describes how to manage Lingjun hubs.
Limits
Lingjun Hubs is supported only in the China (Ulanqab) Region.
Background information
A Lingjun hub is a core forwarding network element within a region and can forward traffic between network instances in the same region. You can use a Lingjun hub to connect multiple network instances such as Lingjun VPDs and Lingjun connections at the same time. The connection between a network instance and a Lingjun hub is called a network instance connection.
Each Lingjun hub contains a route table. You can create custom routing policies in the route table or use the routing policy that is automatically created by the system. In a routing policy, you can configure the source network instance for advertising routes and the destination network instance for receiving routes. Only network instances that are configured with routing policies can be connected to each other.
In a Lingjun hub, multiple Lingjun VPDs can be connected to each other and share the same Lingjun connection, as shown in Figure 1. On a Lingjun network, multiple Lingjun connections can be used, as shown in Figure 2.
High reliability and high quality
The underlying layer of a Lingjun hub supports load balancing by using multiple physical routes and multiple physical devices. In this case, if a device or link is interrupted, traffic can be switched within seconds. Multiple sets of high-quality transmission links exist between any two nodes on a Lingjun network. If an underlying link is interrupted, the network is automatically converged.
Secure and flexible enterprise-level networking
You can create a custom routing policy for a Lingjun hub to meet your enterprise-level networking requirements.
Procedure
Create a network instance connection. You can create a network instance connection for a Lingjun hub to connect Lingjun VPDs and Lingjun connections to the Lingjun hub.
Create a routing policy. You can create a routing policy to connect network instances.
NoteBoth network instance connections and routing policies belong to Lingjun hubs.
Create a Lingjun hub
Log on to the Intelligent Computing Lingjun console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Network Resources > Lingjun Hubs. You can search for a Lingjun hub by specifying the Instance ID or Instance Name condition.
Click Create Lingjun Hub. On the Create Lingjun Hub page, configure parameters such as Zone and Name.
ImportantYou cannot change the zone of a Lingjun hub after the hub is created. We recommend that you select the zone of Lingjun nodes and Lingjun connections. This can minimize network access latency.
Click OK.
NoteA region can contain up to four Lingjun hubs.
Create a network instance connection
While a network instance connection is being created for a Lingjun hub, packet loss may occur within seconds in the Lingjun hub. We recommend that you create a network instance connection during off-peak hours.
You can create a network instance connection in a Lingjun hub.
Log on to the Intelligent Computing Lingjun console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Network Resources > Lingjun Hubs.
Click the instance ID of the Lingjun hub that you want to manage to go to the Instance Details page.
On the Instance Details page, view the basic information about the Lingjun hub.
Click the Network Instance Connection tab to view the created network instance connections.
Click Create Network Instance Connection. In the Create Network Instance Connection panel, configure parameters such as Connection Name and Network Instance Type.
ImportantTo create a network instance connection across accounts, perform the following steps:
Grant permissions to the current Lingjun hub within your Alibaba Cloud account by using the other Alibaba Cloud account. For more information, see the "Perform a cross-account authorization for a Lingjun Hub instance" section of the Manage Lingjun VPDs topic and Manage Lingjun connection instances.
Set the Account of Resources parameter to Across Accounts.
Click Yes.
ImportantIf you select All routes from this Lingjun hub are automatically received, the system automatically creates a routing policy for the Lingjun hub after the network instance connection is created. This way, the network instance connection automatically receives all the routes from other network instances in the Lingjun hub, including the routes from network instances that are created later.
Create a routing policy
You can create a routing policy for a Lingjun hub to control the received routes of all network instance connections that are associated with the Lingjun hub. If no routing policy is configured for a Lingjun hub, all network instance connections that are associated with the Lingjun hub cannot receive routes.
You can use one of the following methods to create a routing policy:
Automatically create a routing policy. To automatically create a routing policy, select All routes from this Lingjun hub are automatically received when you create a network instance connection.
Manually create a routing policy. To manually create a routing policy, perform the following steps:
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Network Resources > Lingjun Hubs.
Click the instance ID of the Lingjun hub that you want to manage to go to the Instance Details page.
On the Instance Details page, click the Routing Policy tab to view the created routing policies.
Click Create Routing Policy. In the Create Routing Policy panel, configure parameters such as Policy ID, Source Instance for Advertising Route, and Destination Instance for Receiving Route.
NoteIf you set the Policy Action parameter to Allow, the source and destination instances can be connected. If you set the Policy Action parameter to Deny, the source and destination instances cannot be connected.
If you create two routing policies that involve the same source and destination instances, the system preferentially matches the routing policy whose policy ID is smaller.
Click Yes.
View the routes of a network instance
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Network Resources > Lingjun Hubs.
Click the instance ID of the Lingjun hub that you want to manage to go to the Instance Details page.
Click the Routing Policy tab. On the Routing Policy tab, you can view the information about a route such as the instance ID, policy ID, and status. You can also filter the information about routes based on the ID of the instance that advertises the route, the ID of the instance that receives the route, and the routing policy ID.
NoteA routing policy can be in the Available, Unavailable, In Progress, or Deleting state.
Delete a routing policy
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Network Resources > Lingjun Hubs.
Click the instance ID of the Lingjun hub that you want to manage.
On the Instance Details page, click the Routing Policy tab. On this tab, find the routing policy that you want to delete and click Delete in the Actions column.
In the Delete message, click Yes.
Delete a network instance connection
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Network Resources > Lingjun Hubs.
Click the instance ID of the Lingjun hub that you want to manage.
On the Instance Details page, click the Network Instance Connection tab. On this tab, find the network instance connection that you want to delete and click Delete in the Actions column.
In the Delete message, click Yes.
Delete a Lingjun hub
Before you delete a Lingjun hub, make sure that the Lingjun hub does not have a network instance connection or routing policy.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Network Resources > Lingjun Hubs.
On the Lingjun Hubs page, find the Lingjun hub that you want to delete and click Delete in the Actions column.
In the Delete message, click Yes.
