Intelligent Media Services:Upload media assets by using the IMS console

Last Updated:Oct 17, 2024

The Intelligent Media Services (IMS) console allows you to upload media assets to the IMS system in a fast and convenient manner from on-premises devices, by using the URLs of the files to upload, or by using the Object Storage Service (OSS) import method. This topic describes how to upload media assets by using the IMS console.

Prerequisites

  • You have learned about the supported file formats. For more information, see the "Supported file formats" section of the Overview topic.

  • OSS or ApsaraVideo VOD is activated based on the storage addresses to which the media assets are to be uploaded. For more information, see Activate OSS or Activate ApsaraVideo VOD.

  • The default storage address is added or specified. For more information, see Configure storage addresses.

Usage notes

  • When you use the local upload method, you can upload an audio or video file of up to 48.8 TB in size and a subtitle or font file of up to 50 MB in size.

  • When you use the URL-based upload method or the OSS import method, you can upload an audio or video file of up to 5 GB in size.

  • When you use the console upload method, M3U8 files can only be uploaded by using the URLs of the files.

  • File name extensions are not case-sensitive during the upload. If a file name extension is not supported by an upload method, the files of this format are automatically filtered out.
