This topic describes how to configure carbon emission plans and how to compare and analyze the planned and actual carbon emission values.
The Carbon Emission Plan Management module allows you to configure carbon emission plans to help your enterprise manage carbon emissions and achieve carbon neutrality. For example, you can configure the planned carbon emissions, carbon emission intensity, and carbon reduction.
Log on to the Energy Expert console and choose Carbon > Carbon Emission Plan Management in the left-side navigation pane. You can switch to another year to view the carbon emissions of that year. You can also click Edit in the upper-right corner of the page to modify a carbon emission plan.
Modify a carbon emission plan
On the Carbon Emission Plan Management page, you can specify the expected year for carbon neutrality and total carbon emission reduction planned. You can also specify the planned and actual values of various metrics, such as the total carbon emission and carbon emission quota. After you modify the carbon emission plan, click Save in the upper-right corner.
The actual value of the total carbon emission is the result of corporate carbon accounting. This value cannot be modified. You can enter actual values for other metrics.
The values of carbon emission intensity and energy consumption intensity are automatically calculated. You can select a unit based on your business requirements. For example, the following units are available for carbon emission intensity: tCO₂e/¥10000, kgCO₂e/m2, and kgCO₂e/Piece(s). The values in the three units are calculated in the following ways: dividing total carbon emission by revenue, dividing total carbon emission by business area, and dividing total carbon emission by product output.
For each metric, you can select By month or By year as Data granularity.
Compare and analyze the planned and actual carbon emissions
After you modify the carbon emission plan, you can compare and analyze the planned and actual carbon emissions on the Emission Analysis page. The information helps you better manage the carbon emissions of your enterprise. For more information, see Carbon emission analysis.
In the Trend Analysis section of the Emission Analysis page, you can select different metrics, such as the total carbon emission and carbon emission intensity in different units, to view the monthly trends of the planned and actual carbon emission values. You can also select multiple years for comparison.
