Elastic Compute Service:Renew a reserved instance

To continue to benefit from the billing discounts provided by reserved instances, we recommend that you renew reserved instances to extend the terms of the reserved instances before the reserved instances expire. This topic describes how to manually renew a reserved instance and enable the auto-renewal feature for a reserved instance.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the ECS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Deployment & Elasticity > icon1 > Reserved Instances.

  3. Manually renew a reserved instance or enable the auto-renewal feature for a reserved instance.

    Manually renew a reserved instance

    1. Find the reserved instance that you want to renew and click scu-renew.

    2. On the Renew page, select a value for the Renewal Duration parameter, select the Enable Auto-renewal option based on your business requirements, read and select ECS Service Terms, and then click Create Order.

    1. Find the reserved instance that you want to renew and click Auto-renewal in the Actions column.

    2. Read the notes, turn on Enable Auto-renewal, select a value for the Renewal Period parameter, and then click OK.
