    Chat App Message Service:Create a channel

    This topic describes how to create a channel.

    Prerequisites

    Procedure

    1. Log on to the Chat App Message Service console.

    2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Channel management.

    3. On the Channel management page, click Add Channel.

    4. In the Add Channel dialog box, set the required parameters.

      1. Channel type: Select an option from the drop-down list.

        • WhatsApp: indicates a WhatsApp channel. You can send messages by using WhatsApp if you select WhatsApp from the list.

        • Viber: indicates a Viber channel. You can send messages by using Viber if you select Viber from the drop-down list.

          Note

          If you want to use channels of both types, you need to create two channels.

      2. Channel name: Specify a custom channel name. The name can be up to 50 characters in length.

      3. Remarks: Enter a description of the channel. The description can be up to 150 characters in length.

    5. Click OK.
