This topic lists the regions and zones where transit routers are available.
Transit routers come in two editions, Enterprise and Basic.
The Basic Edition is discontinued and no longer for sale. You can create new transit routers in the Enterprise Edition in all regions except for the Cloud Connect Network region.
The Enterprise Edition is an upgraded version of the Basic Edition. In addition to all the basic features, it supports flexible routing policies. For more information, see How transit routers work.
Enterprise Edition transit router
The following table lists the regions and zones where the Enterprise Edition transit router is available.
If the zone in which your resource is located does not support transit routers, but another zone in the same region does support them, you can connect the resource with other instances by creating a vSwitch in the supported zone and creating a VPC connection through the vSwitch.
For example, if an Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instance is deployed in Zone G of China (Hangzhou), where transit routers are not available, you can create one vSwitch in Zone J and one in Zone K. Then, establish a VPC connection between these vSwitches to enable communication between all resources in the VPC and instances connected to the transit router.
