This article describes the solution of forgetting password for different types of accounts.

If you forget your password when you log on to the Alibaba Mail, please perform the following steps to reset it.
Scenario 1: The postmaster Resets the Password of Employee Account
The password reset process for employee account of each version is the same. If user forgets the password, you can contact your email administrator (postmaster account manager) to logon to the postmaster's account and reset the password of employee account.
The following are the specific steps:
1. The administrator logs on to the Alibaba Mail to go to the domain management page.
2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose DEPTs & Users > Employee Accounts.
3. In the Name column, click the name of the account for which you want to reset the password.
4. On the Edit Account page, click Reset Password.
5. Enter and confirm the password as required and click Save.
The policy for setting the password is as follows:
The password can be 8 to 64 characters in length.
The password must contain three of the following: uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.
Email address and weak password keywords set by postmasters are not allowed to be included in the password.
Scenario 2: Reset the Password of Employee Account
If you have bound the secure mobile phone and security questions, you can click Forgot Password on the logon page to reset your password.
Enter the email address and image verification code, and then click Next.
Choose Receive an SMS verification code on your secure mobile or Questions to pass the muti-factor authentication. Here we use secure mobile phone as the example.
Receive the SMS vertification code from the mobile phone and click Next.
Set a new password.
Reset succeeded.
Scenario 3: The Postmaster Forgets the Password
If you forget the password of postmaster account, please perform the following steps:
1. Logon to the Alibaba Cloud Email Console.
2. Find your domain name in Email Services and go to the Manage page.
3. Click Reset Password.
4. Reset the password of the postmaster account and click Submit to save the change.
