Introducing Alibaba Cloud Model Studio

This post is going to share the newly launched Alibaba Cloud Model Studio (Launched at the week of 1-Jul-2024), which Owen series model offers!

Alibaba Cloud Model Studio enables the capability to build intelligent applications that understand our need say business by using generative AI (GenAI) models.

As per mentioned, it provides a comprehensive toolchain for developing and applying foundation models (FMs) including Qwen-Max, Qwen-Plus, Qwen-Turbo, and Qwen 2 series.

These models serve as the building blocks for creating customized AI agents.

Features and Capabilities:

Customization: Customize FMs with your enterprise data by setting up a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architecture

Workflow Acceleration: Speed up model development workflows with built-in tools for model compression, inference acceleration, and multi-dimensional evaluation

Application Development: Develop GenAI applications with pre-built workflows, visualized orchestration, and APIs for easy integration

Security Measures: Develop and deploy models in an isolated Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) network to protect enterprise data

Model Experience

Quite interesting feature, we can compare the experience here between the models.

The result between Qwen-Max and Qwen-Turbo when I try to ask What is Alibaba Cloud Model Studio? It looks like Qwen-Max is more comprehensive. I take several rounds for the test with different questions, apart from above mentioned, content may not the same so worth to take different model and not dedicated at all.

System Management

Under System Tools > Statistics, we can have a view on use call statistics.

It also offers User and Role management in preview version.

So how it works?

APIs and SDKs: Integrate FM capabilities into enterprise systems using purpose-designed APIs (encapsulated in SDKs)

Agent Tools: Build AI agents with plugins, orchestration services, and prompt engineering tools

Model Development: Manage datasets, fine-tune FMs, evaluate models, and deploy them as services within VPC

During the test, I try to provide some simple words, like below How Azure AAD integrate with Alibaba Cloud, it turns out a comprehensive ANSWER start from Preparation, Configure until Test and Conclusion, for below question, the rate is Input Token:28 vs. Output Token:631

With it’s the newly features, industry specific FMs, and robust security measures, believed Alibaba Cloud Model Studio can empowers users no matter from IT, advance user even general, to handling unstructured data, even in different languages to more comprehensive output rapidly, accurately and intelligently!
