Cloud Box:EBS resources

更新時間:Nov 16, 2023

Elastic Block Storage (EBS) can be used for data storage in most common scenarios. When you purchase a cloud box, you must purchase EBS resources. This topic describes the billing of EBS resources in a cloud box.

Billing

You can use enhanced SSDs (ESSDs) of performance level 0 (PL0) as EBS resources in a cloud box. PL0 ESSDs are a type of ultra-high-performance cloud disk based on the next-generation distributed block storage architecture. A PL0 ESSD can provide up to 10,000 random read/write IOPS and low one-way latency. For more information, see Disks and ESSDs.

You are charged for EBS resources based on the unit price, capacity, and subscription duration of a cloud disk that you purchase. Formula: Fees for EBS resources = Capacity of the cloud disk × Unit price of the capacity × Subscription duration.

  • Unit price: You are charged for EBS resources based on a tiered billing model. A capacity that is no less than 36 TiB has a lower unit price. You can view the price details on the buy page for cloud boxes.

  • Capacity:

    • Minimum purchase capacity: 12 TiB

    • Scaling step size: 12 TiB

    • Maximum capacity: 1,520 TiB

  • Subscription duration: EBS resources are purchased on a yearly basis. If you purchase a cloud box for the first time, the initial subscription duration must be three or five years.

Payment

The fees for EBS resources and other resources purchased in the same cloud box order are paid together. The subscription billing method is supported. You can select All Upfront or Half Upfront as the payment option.

  • All Upfront: You must make a one-time full payment at the time of purchase.
  • Half Upfront: You can pay 50% of the fees first, and then equally pay the rest by month.

After you accept the purchased cloud box, Alibaba Cloud generates bills on the first day of each month based on the remaining unpaid fees and subscription duration. The amount of each monthly bill is the same. Make sure that you have sufficient balance within your account to pay the bills at the earliest opportunity. If you do not pay the bills within seven calendar days after you receive the bills, your cloud box cannot provide services normally.
