ACK Edge is a cloud-managed solution provided by Container Service for Kubernetes (ACK). You can use ACK Edge to implement collaborative cloud-edge computing. This topic describes the release notes for ACK Edge clusters of Kubernetes 1.28.

Autonomy of edge nodes

  • The Autonomy Condition feature is supported in nodes to reflect the autonomy status of nodes.

  • The /var/lib/edge-hub/autonomy/aof file is added to persist failed keys and errors.

Component management

The edge-cloud-provider-manager component that is used for for cluster cloud resource management is released. For more information, see edge-cloud-provider-manager.

Multi-region workloads

Workload templates support StatefulSets. For more information, see Node pool application set management.

Node access

This version optimizes the kubelet parameters. The following list describes the updates:

  • Updated the resource reservation policy for nodes. For more information, see Resource reservation policy.

  • By default, kubelet closes the unsafe port 10255.
