This topic describes the regions in which Elastic Desktop Service (EDS) is available.
What is a region?
Regions are geographical locations where Alibaba Cloud data centers are deployed. Regions are typically named after the cities where the data centers are deployed. For example, the data centers of the Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur) region reside in Kuala Lumpur.
Select a region
When you purchase an EDS resource, such as a cloud computer, you must select the region in which you want to deploy the resource. After the resource is created, you cannot change the region of the resource. For your convenience, proceed with caution when you select a region to deploy a resource.
Factor | Suggestion |
Geographical location | We recommend that you select a region that is closest to the geographical location of your end users. Closer distance to a region indicates lower network latency and better user experience. |
Specifications and price | The specifications and prices of cloud computers vary based on the region. You can go to the Pricing page to learn more and select a suitable region. |
Network connectivity with other Alibaba Cloud services | We recommend that you consider the following issues about network connectivity with other Alibaba Cloud services when you select a region.
