Elastic Desktop Service:Create a resource group

You can create resource groups to isolate cloud computer resources for management. This topic describes how to create a resource group.

Procedure

You can create resource groups, to which cloud computers can be managed by group.

  1. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Permissions > Resource Groups.

  2. On the Resource Groups page, click Create Resource Group and specify the name for the resource group that you are creating.

    Note

    The name must be 1 to 30 characters in length. It must start with a letter but cannot start with http:// or https://. It can contain letters, digits, colons (:), underscores (_), periods (.), and hyphens (-).

  3. In the Configure Resources and Authorize message, click Go Now.

  4. On the Manage Resource tab, click Transfer In. In the Transfer In panel, select the cloud computers that you want to move to the group and click Confirm.

What to do next

The resource groups that you created are displayed on the Resource Groups page.

  • If you want to manage the group by adding or removing cloud computers, click Manage Resource in the Actions column.

    Note

    On the Manage Resource tab, click the icon in the User column, select Users Unassigned Resource, and then click OK. The resources that are idle are filtered out.

  • If you want to modify the group name, click Edit in the Actions column.

  • If you want to delete the group, click Delete in the Actions column.
