Well-Architected Framework:Disaster recovery

Last Updated:Sep 25, 2023

Disaster recovery refers to keeping the business systems running continuously without interruption in the event of a disaster, while minimizing data loss. This includes cross-region active-active and same-city active-active solutions.

Disaster recovery requires comprehensive data protection and disaster recovery capabilities to ensure the integrity of data and continuity of business operations when the production center is unable to function properly. It also requires the standby center to take over and restore normal operation of the business system in the shortest time possible to minimize losses.
