Description
You can use the cost centers to identify the costs of cloud resources. This way, you can create a custom cost structure to split bills. For more information, see Cost Unit.
If you want to allocate a large number of instances that are attached to a resource, you can configure the required settings to allocate the attached instances to a cost center.

For example, a disk and an elastic IP address (EIP) are attached to an Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instance. The ECS instance is called a linked instance. The disk and EIP are called attached resources.
This topic describes how to view the linked instances and how to allocate attached resources to a cost center.
Procedure
View linked instances
Log on to the User Center console. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Cost Allocation > Cost Center. On the left side of the Cost Centers page, the hierarchical tree of cost centers is displayed. Click All Resources, Unallocated Resources, or the specified cost center to view the relevant linked instance ID in the Linked Instance ID column on the right side.
For example, if you want to view the instance to which a disk is attached, find the disk. The Linked Instance ID column displays the ID of the instance to which the disk is attached.
Click Instance Name to the left of the search bar, and select Instance ID, Instance Name, Linked Instance ID, or Splitting Item ID. Then, enter a keyword and click Search.
Important
If a hyphen (-) is displayed in the Linked Instance ID column for a resource, no linked resource exists for the resource.
You can separately allocate attached resources or allocate the resources together with the linked instance.
Allocate attached resources
Choose Cost Allocation > Cost Center. On the Cost Center page, click Edit Rule under Associated ECS resources are allocated or transferred to configure a rule for allocating attached resources with an ECS instance.
In the dialog box that appears, select the attached resources that you want to allocate together with an ECS instance.
Important
After you configure the settings, the system displays the number of attached resources when you allocate or transfer an existing ECS instance.
After an ECS instance is allocated to a cost center by using an automatic allocation rule, the attached resources that you selected, such as an EIP or a disk, are automatically allocated to the cost center.
