The periods during which alert notifications can be sent are determined by the Period parameter of action groups. The Period parameter is configurable and allows you to select a period to send alert notifications.
If alerts are generated during the selected period, the alert notifications are sent. Otherwise, the alert notifications are not sent. in the following steps:
You can specify the period based on the setting of the global default calendar, which determines business days, non-business days, business hours, and non-business hours. For more information, see Modify the global default calendar
Any Time: sends notifications by using a specified method at any time.
Business Days: sends notifications by using a specified method on business days.
Non-business Days: sends notifications by using a specified method on non-business days.
Business Hours: sends notifications by using a specified method during the business hours of business days.
Non-business Hours: sends notifications by using a specified method on non-business days or during the non-business hours of business days.
Example 1
If you want to receive alert notifications through DingTalk during business hours and through text messages during non-business hours, you must add two notification methods to the action group based on the following information: For more information, see Create an action policy.
DingTalk: Set Period to Business Hours.
SMS Message: Set Period to Non-business Hours.
Example 2
If you want to receive notifications on critical alerts through DingTalk and emails during business hours and through DingTalk, emails, and voice calls during non-business hours, you must create two action groups based on the following information. For more information, see Create an action policy.
Voice Call: Set Period to Non-business Hours.
DingTalk and Email: Set Period to Business Hours.
