Application Load Balancer (ALB) provides ALB resource plans, which can be used to offset the instance fees and Load Balancer Capacity Unit (LCU) fees for ALB. Compared with the pay-as-you-go billing method, ALB resource plans are more cost-effective. The topic describes how to purchase an ALB resource plan and view the usage details about ALB resource plans.
Purchase guide
You can select a resource plan based on the scale of your business, the area where you want to use the resource plan, and the time when you want the resource plan to take effect.

Purchase an ALB resource plan
- Log on to the ALB console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
On the ALB Resource Plan page, click Buy Now.
On the ALB Service Plan (International Site) page, specify the region, size, quantity, activation time, and validity period based on your business requirements and click Buy Now.

Regions
Select the region of the resource plan. Valid values: Mainland China and Outside Mainland China.
Service Plan Size
Select the size of the resource plan. The number of LCUs provided by a resource plan varies based on the size. For more information, see Resource plan sizes and pricing.
Quantity
Specify the number of resource plans that you want to purchase.
Activation Time
Select the time when the resource plan takes effect. Valid Values:
Immediately after Payment: A resource plan takes effect immediately after you complete the payment.
Custom: A resource plan takes effect at the specified time after you complete the payment.
Select Custom Time
Select the time when the resource plan takes effect.
NoteYou do not need to specify this parameter if you set the Activation Time parameter to Immediately after Payment.
Validity Period
Select the validity period of the resource plan. You can select only 1 Year.
View the usage details of an ALB resource plan
Before you view the details of a resource plan, make sure that you have purchased a resource plan.
Log on to the ALB console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
On the ALB Resource Plan page, click View Resource Plans.
On the Manage Reserved Instances page, you can view the basic information and usage details of ALB resource plans.
On the Instances tab, you can view the following information about an ALB resource plan: owner account, region, resource plan ID, size, remaining quota, effective time, and expiration time.
In the upper-right corner of the resource plan list, you can click Customize Column Options to hide or show columns.
In the upper-right corner of the resource plan list, you can click Export to export and download the resource plan list.
On the Details tab, you can view the usage details of ALB resource plans.
You can filter usage details by setting the Start Time, Instance Name, or Deducted instance ID parameter.
In the upper-right corner of the details list, you can click Customize Column Options to hide or show columns.
In the upper-right corner of the details list, you can click Export to export and download the resource plan list.
