Service Catalog:What do I do if an error message appears when I launch a product?

If the error message "Please contact the administrator to authorize the Service Catalog execution permission" appears when you launch a product, you can refer to this topic to troubleshoot the issue.

Cause

From August 2022, Service Catalog allows end users to launch products by using RAM users. To meet compliance requirements, an end user can launch a product by using a RAM user only after the end user is granted the permissions by the administrator or an end user that is assigned the administrative rights.

Solution

If the preceding error message appears, you can log on to the Service Catalog console as the administrator or an end user that is assigned the administrative rights. The Create the service-linked role message appears. After you click OK in the message, the service-linked role is created, and the error message no longer appears.
