Dear Alibaba Cloud users:
To provide better services, Alibaba Cloud Security Center plans to adjust the sales minimum and increments for log data added and log storage capacity of the Cloud Threat Detection and Response (CTDR) feature, effective January 14, 2025 (UTC+8).
Change details
CTDR can be purchased on a monthly basis. The adjusted sales minimum and increments are shown in the following table:
Purchase Item | Sales Minimum | Increment | Default Value | Value range |
Log Data Added | 100 GB/day | 100 GB/day | 100 GB/day | 100 to 9,999,999,999 GB/day |
Log Storage Capacity | 1,000 GB | 1,000 GB | 1,000 GB | 0 to 9,999,999,999 GB |
Impacts
Starting from January 14, 2025 (UTC+8), new users can purchase the CTDR feature based on the changed billing rules. Users who have purchased other features of Security Center also need to follow the new billing rules if they want to upgrade the service to purchase the CTDR feature.
For users who purchased CTDR before January 14, 2025 (UTC+8):
You can keep the instance types in your current order during manual or auto renewal.
You must follow the new billing rules when upgrading or downgrading Security Center purchase plan, regardless of whether you need to adjust the CTDR specifications. This may require manually adjusting the sales minimum and increments to meet the new requirements or disabling the CTDR feature during a downgrade to proceed with the purchase plan change.
