This topic describes how to continue to create a stack if the stack fails to be created in the Resource Orchestration Service (ROS) console.
Prerequisites
The rollback on failure feature is disabled when you create a stack, and the stack failed to be created. For more information, see Create a stack.
Procedure
Log on to the ROS console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Stacks.
In the top navigation bar, select the region where the stack you want to manage resides from the region drop-down list. For example, you can select China (Hangzhou).
On the Stacks page, find the stack and click Continue in the Actions column.
In the Continue dialog box, specify the Continue mode parameter based on the cause of the failure and your business requirements, and click OK. You can select one of the following modes:
Continue: Select Continue if the stack failed to be created due to external reasons, such as insufficient quota balance, service unavailability, traffic throttling, insufficient resource inventory, and overdue payments. In this case, ROS continues to create the stack.
Discard: Select Discard if you no longer need the resources that failed to be created, or you have not created in the stack. In this case, ROS ignores and discards the resources and marks the stack as successfully created.
NoteThe Discard mode is available only for stacks of the ROS type.
Advanced Options: Select Advanced Options if the template content or the parameter settings are invalid. In this case, you can update the template content or parameter settings based on your business requirements.
In the Select Resources step, select the resources that you want to clear and recreate, and click Next.
NoteYou can configure parameters in the Select Resources step only for stacks of the ROS type.
In the Template Settings step, select Use Existing Template or Replace Current Template in the Prepare Template section, and click Next.
For more information about how to select a template to replace the current template, see Create a stack.
In the Configure Stack Settings section, configure the Maximum Concurrent Resources and RAM Role parameters and click Next.
In the Check and Confirm (Optional) step, confirm the configured information, such as the template, parameters, and RAM role, and click Continue.
