Deactivate Resource Center - Resource Management - Alibaba Cloud Documentation Center

This topic describes the impact, limits, and procedure of deactivating the Resource Center service.

Impact

After you deactivate Resource Center, you cannot view information about resources in Resource Center.
- If you use a single Alibaba Cloud account to deactivate Resource Center, you cannot view information about the resources within the account after Resource Center is deactivated.
- If you use the management account of your resource directory or the delegated administrator account of Resource Center to deactivate Resource Center, you cannot view information about the resources within the current account and the resources within members in the resource directory after Resource Center is deactivated. If the cross-account resource search feature is enabled, the feature is disabled after Resource Center is deactivated. In addition, you cannot use a member in the resource directory to view information about the resources within the member.
After you deactivate Resource Center, you cannot view information about resources through specific entries, such as the Resource Manager tab on the homepage of the Alibaba Cloud Management Console or the Cloud Config service.

If the cross-account resource search feature is enabled and the account you use to deactivate Resource Center is different from the account you used to enable the feature, you cannot deactivate Resource Center.
For example, if you enable the cross-account search feature by using the management account of your resource directory, you cannot use the delegated administrator account of Resource Center to disable the feature. You can use only the management account to disable the feature.
If a service or feature that strongly depends on Resource Center, such as the Cloud Config service and the Transfer Associated Resources feature, is activated or enabled, you can deactivate Resource Center only after you deactivate the service or disable the feature.
