Quick BI:Work Copy Control

For enterprises with high security requirements, allowing data replication by default may bring greater data security risk. Quick BI, you can enable or disable the copy control feature for data works to prevent data breach. This topic describes how to control the copy of a work.

Limits

Only the organization administrator supports setting up control for work copy.

Procedure

Follow the steps shown in the figure to go to the Work Copy Control page.

Note
  • The Copy feature is enabled by default. You can disable the feature based on your business requirements. After the feature is disabled, all data works cannot be copied.

  • After the copy function is enabled, you can select all or select some data works to allow data copy.

  • Copy includes shortcut keys (ctrl + c/ctrl + v or command + c/command + v) copy and right mouse button selection copy.

  • If you select All, you can copy data from datasets, dashboards, workbooks, ad hoc analysis, self-service data retrieval, and dashboards.

  • In the Partially Selected state, the selected data works are allowed to copy data. The unselected data works are not allowed to copy data.

    For example, dashboards, workbooks, ad hoc analysis, and data dashboards allow data replication. Datasets and self-service retrieval do not allow data replication.

  • After the Copy feature is disabled, all data works are not copied.
