Last Updated:May 29, 2024

You can use the Integration Management page of ARMS to query or manage the objects and data monitored by the current Alibaba Cloud account.

Prerequisites

Application Real-Time Monitoring Service is activated. For more information, see Activate ARMS.

View a component

  1. Log on to the Managed Service for Prometheus console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Integration Management. On the Integrated Addons tab, you can view all enabled components.

    Note

The query results are generated based on the Alibaba Cloud account and the specified region.

  3. Click a component to view the environments into which it is integrated. A component may be integrated into multiple environments.

  4. On the Environments tab, find the environment that you want to view and click View Details in the Actions column.

The following information is available on the environment details page:

    • Cluster ID or VPC ID: the ID of the corresponding ACK cluster or ECS instance, and CIDR block.

    • Environment Name: the name of the environment. You can modify the environment name based on your needs.

    • Region: the region where the environment resides.

    • Default Metric Storage: the Prometheus instance that stores metric data collected from the environment. Generally, the instance is created with the environment.

    • Resource Group and Tags.

Integrate a component

On the Integrated Environments tab, click Add Integration. On the page that appears, click a component and integrate it as prompted.

Update a component

Each component may have multiple integration records. On the Component tab, find a record, click Settings in the Actions column, and update it as prompted.

Note

The dashboards and alert rules are also updated. Whether significant changes are made to a component depends on whether the component version is updated.

  • If the version is not updated, it indicates that minor changes, such as input parameter changes or lossless dashboard and alert rule updates, are made to the component.

  • If the version is not updated, it indicates that significant changes are made to the component. We recommend that you update the component to the latest version.

Uninstall a component

Each integration record can be uninstalled. Only if all records of a component are uninstalled, the dashboards and alerts rules can be deleted. On the Component tab, find a record, click Uninstall in the Actions column, and uninstall it as prompted.

Query the workload information of a component

Find an integration record, and click the image.png icon or Go to Instance List in the Actions column to query the workload information. The following information is available:

  • List of ECS instances: suitable for a component that is used to monitor hosts.

  • List of pods and relevant application information: suitable for a component that is used to monitor Java applications.

  • Pod status of exporters: suitable for a component that is used to monitor middleware and indicates whether the integration is successful.
