Cloud Monitor (CMS) collects the metrics of endpoints and endpoint services in real time and generates visualized time series charts. You can learn about the bandwidth and packet rate of PrivateLink in the generated charts. You can also create alert rules and event subscription policies to learn about the exception monitoring data and instance-related events in a timely manner and take corresponding measures.
View monitoring data
View monitoring data in the VPC console
Log on to the Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) console.
To view the monitoring data of an endpoint, go to the Endpoints page.
To view the monitoring data of an endpoint service, go to the Endpoint Service page.
Find the desired instance and use one of the following methods to view monitoring data:
View monitoring data in the instance list
Click the
icon in the Monitor column that corresponds to the desired instance.
In the panel that appears, view monitoring data.
View monitoring data on the instance details page
Click the ID of the desired instance.
On the details page of the instance, click the Monitor tab to view monitoring data.
For more information about the metrics of endpoints, see Monitoring metrics of endpoints. For more information about the metrics of endpoint services, see Monitoring metrics provided for endpoint services.
By default, the system displays monitoring data collected within the last hour. You can select another time range from the Time drop-down list. Supported time ranges are 3 hours, 6 hours, and 12 hours. You can also specify a custom time range. You can view monitoring data that is collected within up to 14 days if you specify a custom time range.
After you enable Auto Refresh, the monitoring chart is updated every minute.
View monitoring data in the CloudMonitor console
Log on to the CloudMonitor console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose
.On the Cloud Service Monitoring page, click All cloud products. Select
.If you want to view the monitoring data of endpoint services, click
.In the upper part of the PrivateLink page, select the region where the instance is located.
Find the instance whose monitoring data you want to view and click Monitoring Charts in the Actions column.

Create an alert rule
To monitor the usage of PrivateLink resources, you can create an alert rule. If resource metrics meet specific alert conditions, alerts are triggered and CloudMonitor sends alert notifications. This way, you can identify and handle monitoring data exceptions at the earliest opportunity.
Log on to the CloudMonitor console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
On the Alert Rules page, click Create Alert Rule.
In the Create Alert Rule panel, set the following parameters and click Confirm.
The following table describes the parameters that are related to this topic. For more information about other parameters, see Create an alert rule.
Parameter
Description
Product
You can select PrivateLink-Endpoints and PrivateLink-Endpoint Services.
Rule Description
Specify the alert rule. If a metric meets a specific condition, an alert is triggered. To specify a rule, perform the following steps:
Click Add Rule and then select Simple Metric, Combined Metrics, Expression, or Dynamic Threshold from the drop-down list.
In the Configure Rule Description panel, enter a rule name and specify conditions.
Simple Metric: Select a metric and configure the threshold and alert level for the metric.
Combined Metrics: Select an alert level and configure alert conditions for two or more metrics. For more information about metrics supported by PrivateLink, see Monitoring metrics of endpoints and Monitoring metrics provided for endpoint services.
NoteIf a multi-metric alert rule is configured, the desired resource must have data on each metric. An alert can be triggered only if the related conditions are met.
Expression: Select an alert level and then configure an alert expression.
Dynamic Threshold: For more information about dynamic thresholds, see Overview and Create dynamic threshold-triggered alert rules.
Click OK.
Create an event subscription policy
You can create event subscription policies to learn about events in a timely manner. For example, learn about whether endpoint connection requests are accepted, endpoint connection requests are rejected, or connections to the new zones of endpoints are established. For more information about how to create an event subscription policy, see Manage event subscription policies (recommended). For more information about alert events supported by PrivateLink, see Alert events.
