If an Alibaba Cloud account has overdue payments, all pay-as-you-go PolarDB-X instances that belong to the account become overdue. You can unlock or recreate pay-as-you-go PolarDB-X instances within a specific period of time. Subscription PolarDB-X instances for which automatic renewal is enabled are not affected until the next subscription period starts.
Alibaba Cloud sends notifications to you before your PolarDB-X instance becomes overdue. To prevent business interruptions, we recommend that you add funds to your account at your earliest opportunity.

During the 1st day up to the 15th day after your PolarDB-X instance becomes overdue, the instance runs as expected. | You can add funds to your Alibaba Cloud account to prevent the instance from being locked after the specified period of time ends. |
During the 16th day to the 30th day after your PolarDB-X instance becomes overdue, the instance is locked and becomes unavailable. | You can add funds to your Alibaba Cloud account. On the 31st day after your PolarDB-X instance becomes overdue, the instance is released. | You cannot restore a PolarDB-X instance that is released. |
After a PolarDB-X instance is released, the cross-region backup data of the instance is retained within the retention period that you specified. During this period, if a new instance meets the conditions for cross-region recovery, you can restore the data to the new instance.
