After the backup architecture upgrade, the backup retention policy Retained Permanently is changed to Retained Long-term. Backup data is retained for a long period of time depending on the specified backup policy until you delete the backup data, you disable the backup retention policy, your Alibaba Cloud account has overdue payments, you unregister or delete the Alibaba Cloud account, or Alibaba Cloud product policies or business policies are changed (prior notices are sent in such cases).
