Billable item | Billing method | Unit price |
Storage based on the occupied storage space | Pay-as-you-go | USD 0.026 per GB-month |
Data transfer based on the outbound traffic over the Internet | Pay-as-you-go | USD 0.099 per GB |
User services based on the number of users | Pay-as-you-go | USD 0.015 per user-month |
Notes on storage fees:
Only one copy is stored for each file. Storage fees are calculated based on the occupied storage space. This helps you reduce costs.
For example, User A and User B are using your PDS services. Both User A and User B store files of 10 GB, among which files of 5 GB are duplicate. The occupied storage space is calculated by using the following formula: 10 GB + 10 GB - 5 GB = 15 GB.
Storage fees are billed on an hourly basis.
For example, storage fees for 100 GB per hour are calculated by using the following formula: 100 × 0.02592/30/24 = USD 0.0036.
You can use storage capacity units (SCUs) to offset storage fees. Each GiB of PDS storage space consumes 0.13 GiB of an SCU.
For more information, see Offset rules.
You are charged data storage fees for specific value-added features that you enable, such as transcoding and package download. For more information, see Billable items for value-added features.
