Monitoring and logging are essential for ensuring the availability of Object Storage Service (OSS) resources, sustaining business operations, and maintaining system health. You can collect relevant metrics and logs through related monitoring capabilities. Alibaba Cloud provides a variety of monitoring and log auditing services, such as CloudMonitor, Simple Log Service (SLS) and Cloud Config. These services lets you monitor resource usage and service performance in real time, and generate alerts to help you handle exceptions at the earliest opportunity.
CloudMonitor
OSS is integrated with CloudMonitor, which is free of charge and lets you monitor performance metrics in real time. For more information, see Monitoring service.
OSS Logging
A large number of logs are generated when your OSS buckets are accessed. After you enable and configure logging for a bucket, OSS generates access logs every hour based on predefined naming rules and then stores the logs in a specific bucket. For more information, see Log storage.
Simple Log Service
OSS is integrated with Simple Log Service (SLS). You can enable SLS for buckets, and collect and process logs of operations on cloud services, service status, and business updates. Cloud Config
OSS is integrated with Cloud Config and provides a free trial. Cloud Config allows you to track the configuration history and audit the compliance of cloud resources. OSS is integrated with ActionTrail. You can use ActionTrail to monitor and record the operations performed by Alibaba Cloud accounts.
