Feature addition, update, or optimization

New

  1. OpenSearch Retrieval Engine Edition allows you to configure multiple vectors for a single document.

  2. A text-to-vector conversion model is added. The model can automatically convert Chinese or English text that consists of 128, 512, or 1,024 tokens to vector data.

2023-11-13

Feature optimization

Optimized

  1. The readability of the Change History page is optimized.

  2. OpenSearch Retrieval Engine Edition allows you to check whether an Object Storage Service (OSS) data source resides in the same region as a specific OpenSearch instance.

  3. OpenSearch Retrieval Engine Edition allows you to directly specify the current time as the timestamp.

Instance specification adjustment

New

  1. Query Result Searcher (QRS) workers and searcher workers with small entry-level specifications are available for purchase. The minimum specifications of a QRS worker are 2 CPU cores and 8 GB of memory. The minimum specifications of a searcher worker are 2 CPU cores and 16 GB of memory.

  2. QRS workers and searcher workers support cloud disks and SSDs.

  3. A free quota of 100 GB of storage space is available for indexing in a single OpenSearch instance.

  4. The instance rental fee is adjusted.

Feature addition, update, or optimization

New

  1. The ignore_invalid_doc and enable_rt_build parameters are added for vector indexes.

  2. OpenSearch Retrieval Engine Edition allows you to configure instance alerting based on accounts.

  3. Pause switches are added.

  4. OpenSearch Retrieval Engine Edition allows you to upload dictionary files.

Feature addition, update, or optimization

New

  1. New features: The image search capability is added. OpenSearch Retrieval Engine Edition supports image embedding and implements features such as searches for images based on specified images or text.

  2. New feature: OpenSearch Retrieval Engine Edition supports data compression, including the compression of fields, attributes, and indexes.

  3. New feature: OpenSearch Retrieval Engine Edition allows you to configure a whitelist of IP addresses or CIDR blocks of devices from which you want to access an OpenSearch instance over the Internet.

  4. New feature: OpenSearch Retrieval Engine Edition supports queries by using RESTful APIs.

2022-01-09

Feature addition, update, or optimization

New

  1. New features: A variety of built-in analyzers and their intervention dictionaries are added. The built-in analyzers include the entertainment content analyzer, general analyzer for e-commerce for English, IT content analyzer, e-commerce analyzer, person name analyzer, and geographic location analyzer.

  2. New feature: Custom multi-value delimiters are supported.

  3. Optimized feature: By default, advanced parameters that are seldom configured for vector indexes are hidden. This helps simplify the configuration and O&M.

  4. New feature: An alert is sent if the index change rate exceeds a specific threshold or the full or incremental index data is not updated for a specific period of time. The threshold or period of time can be customized.

  5. Optimized features: Metrics about offline services during reindexing are displayed in the change history. The index building progress can be viewed.

Feature addition, update, or optimization

New

  1. Optimized features: Vector fields have no DUP requirements. Limits on the field order can be set for vector indexes. Vector indexes support more field types. Default values are set for advanced settings of vector indexes to help simplify the configuration.

  2. Optimized feature: Timestamps in the format of the wall-clock time are supported.

  3. Optimized features: Index tables can be switched on the Deployment Management page. All data sources, index tables, and clusters can be displayed on the Deployment Management page.

2022-08-16

Feature addition, update, or optimization

New

  1. New features: OpenSearch Retrieval Engine Edition supports index data recovery and quick scaling of shards.

  2. Optimized feature: The default alerting configuration is added for OpenSearch Retrieval Engine Edition to optimize the alerting feature.

2022-05-20

Feature addition, update, or optimization

New

  1. Optimized features: OpenSearch Retrieval Engine Edition supports quick scale-out of clusters, index schema configuration by clicks, online query configurations, and scenario-based O&M of instances.

  2. New features: Vectors can be used as plug-ins for the sorting phases. Multi-value indexes and RANGE indexes are supported.
