Mobile Platform as a Service:Billing

Last Updated:Jan 29, 2026

Android billing

The security hardening service uses a subscription model and must be purchased before use. If you have activated Mobile Platform as a Service (mPaaS), you receive a seven-day free trial of the security hardening service. The trial starts when you upload an APK or AAB package. After the seven-day free trial expires, you are notified that the service has expired. To continue using the service, purchase the security hardening service.

For more information about the pricing of the security hardening service, see Prepaid.

Each security hardening service can harden only one application. The service is attached to an application based on the package name of the APK or AAB file. When you upload an APK or AAB file, the security hardening service verifies its package name.

  • If you upload an application that is not attached to a security hardening service and an active service is available, the package name is automatically attached to that service. This attachment process runs in the background and does not affect the upload.

  • If you upload an application that is not attached to a security hardening service and no active service is available, the system prompts you to purchase one.

  • If the package name of the APK or AAB file is attached to a security hardening service that has not expired, the upload proceeds. When 30 days of service remain, you are notified.

  • If the package name of the APK or AAB file is attached to an expired security hardening service, you are notified that the service has expired. You must purchase a new security hardening service.

The Security Hardening Service operates on a prepaid basis; you must purchase the service before using it. Users who have already activated a Mobile Development Platform product are entitled to a seven-day free trial of the Security Hardening Service. The trial period begins upon uploading the HAP/App file. Upon expiration of the free trial, the system will notify you that the service has expired.

To continue using the service, purchase the security hardening service.

Note

Because the application security hardening service is prepaid, you cannot renew a purchased service. When your service is about to expire, you must purchase a new service and attach it to your application.
