This topic describes the status changes of services and resources after the payment of MaxCompute is overdue.
MaxCompute services are suspended or have overdue payments if the following error message is returned when you run a computing job. You can click Deposit on the Account Balance page in the Expenses and Costs console to top up your account balance.
ODPS-0420095: Access Denied - Authorization Failed [4093], You have NO privilege to do the restricted operation on {acs:odps:*:projects or project_name}. Access Mode is AllDenied.
The following table describes the resource status and measures you can take after your subscription or pay-as-you-go MaxCompute services are suspended or have overdue payments.
Billing method | Overdue payment or service suspension | Resource status and measure |
Subscription | The service is immediately suspended after the purchased resources expire. | Take note of the following items if your MaxCompute services are suspended upon expiration: Scenario 1: If the pay-as-you-go service is activated in the region to which the subscription computing resources belong, the subscription quota is frozen and disabled and the jobs that are submitted to the frozen quota cannot be run. Projects in the region are not adversely affected. You can request project data by using other methods. If you top up your account balance within 15 days, the quota automatically restores to the normal state. If your payments are overdue for more than 15 days, the quota is automatically deleted and released.
Important In this case, if the pay-as-you-go service is deactivated and released, all projects in the region are also deleted and cannot be restored. Scenario 2: If the pay-as-you-go service is not activated in the region to which your subscription computing resources belong, all MaxCompute projects in the region are released after 15 days and cannot be restored. Data of objects such as tables, resources, functions, and instances is lost and cannot be restored. For more information about projects, see Project. If you top up your account balance within 15 days, your service is automatically activated, and you can continue to use the service. You are still charged for the 15-day data retention. If your payments are overdue for more than 15 days, all MaxCompute projects are automatically deleted. The system sends a notification to you by using a text message or an email one day before the project release.
Important Take note of the following items for projects in the China (Hong Kong), Japan (Tokyo), Singapore, Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), Indonesia (Jakarta), Germany (Frankfurt), UK (London), US (Silicon Valley), US (Virginia), UAE (Dubai), and SAU (Riyadh - Partner Region) regions: If the pay-as-you-go service was activated before April 25, 2024, the resource status and measures you can take follow those described in Scenario 2. If the pay-as-you-go service is activated on or after April 25, 2024, the resource status and measures you can take follow those described in Scenario 1.
