This topic describes how to activate the Lindorm search engine (LindormSearch) for an instance and how to view the endpoint used to connect to LindormSearch.
Activate LindormSearch for an instance when the instance is purchased
Log on to the Lindorm console.
Click Create in the upper-left corner of the page.
On the buy page of Lindorm, configure Node Spec of Search Engine (Solr API) and Search Engine Nodes. For more information about how to configure other parameters on the buy page, see Create an instance.
Click Buy Now and then complete the payment as prompted.
After you purchase the instance, you can view the status of the instance in the Lindorm console. The instance becomes available for use after its state changes from Creating to Running.
Activate LindormSearch for an instance after the instance is purchased
Log on to the Lindorm console.
In the upper-left corner of the page, select the region where the instance is deployed.
On the Instances page, click the ID of the instance that you want to manage or click Manage in the Actions column corresponding to the instance.
In the Configurations section, click Activate Now on the right side of Search Engine.
On the Upgrade/Downgrade page of Lindorm, configure Node Spec of Search Engine (Solr API), Search Engine Nodes, and Storage Space.
Read and select Terms of Services. Then, click Buy Now and complete the payment as prompted.
After you activate LindormSearch for the instance, you can view the status of the instance in the Lindorm console. The instance becomes available for use after its state changes from Scaling out Node or Scaling in Node to Running.
View connection information
You can obtain the default username, default password, and endpoint that are used to connect to LindormSearch.
Log on to the Lindorm console.
In the upper-left corner of the page, select the region where the instance is deployed.
On the Instances page, click the ID of the instance that you want to manage or click Manage in the Actions column corresponding to the instance.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Database Connections.
Click the Search Engine tab. On the Search Engine tab, obtain the endpoint, default username, and default password used to connect to LindormSearch.
NoteTo connect to LindormSearch over the Internet, click Enable Public Endpoint in the upper-right corner.
